One of the first projects to use our new Designer Felts came from Teroforma, a start up, higher end, tabletop Design Company based in Norwalk, CT. Their new line of 100% wool trivets and coasters are at once basic and beautiful. A feast for the eyes, they bring the simplicity and splendor of nature to the tabletop in the form of reversible leaves using 3mm Designer Felt. We saw an instant connection between the eco-friendly felt and these vibrant leaves, but asked Paul Murawski, COO of Teroforma, why felt?

“Felt is a wonderful material with a lot of possibilities.  We were interested in adding the material’s warmth and texture to the table and worked with a German designer – Anna Dabrowski – to create these patterns.  The shapes were inspired by a walk Anna took through Berlin’s famous Tiergarten, right near her apartment, in the first few days of Spring in 2007.”

100% Wool felt is also  incredibly durable and heat resistant.  Teroforma plans to launch their online store in January, and will be opening Gallery locations in the second half of ’08. New styles and colors are planned every six months.
